1. Do you think Japan should give more students options to study more languages (other than English) in Junior and Senior High School?

We are starting the change for education in Japan. I have been thinking that the education of English in Japan has some ploblems. We do not have many chances to speak in English in class. We learned forcusing on just reading and writting skills at least for me. Therefore I did not get used of speaking English until I went to study abroad.
What I think about this question is we do not complete plans and systems for English education yet, so it will be tough to add more options to study other languages than English.
But If we have many chaces to choose what languages we learn in school, our future would go spread directions.

In this spring I'm going to start working relating to English education. And I just had a meeting with my bosses and other workers. I have learned the new English education system and had the lecture about it. I got some details and information about the coming new policy in the meeting.
I fond the same opinion as what it says in this article. "People say that if we teach entirely in English, students will not be able to follow the lessons." I agree with this. little children might dislike to study English. It might be better to start learning English in Junior high school. One of people who gave comments in this article said that's not true. Language is to be used. If we use it often, students' awareness will change.
But now will it be possible not to be against for taking a entire class in English for children? I do not think so.

hmmmmm. That is the big issue for Japan.

Class #11 Men and Women

I felt sad about the men who think not to want have love relationship. I believe at least in my age's guy do not think like that. I think only between middle-aged men. After having some experiences with girls, men may have started thinking like that. Actually girls are a hassle for sure, but there are many advantages being together for both men and women. If men really continue working without a wife or girlfriend, that is OK. They just want to concentrate on their job. But I do not want them to think there is not profit about love relationship.

I'm sorry I was not in the #13 class.

Question: Don't you wish that all men could read minds and really understand women?

The answer is NO. If men can read all what I'm thinking, there is no fun. Perhaps we won't have any toubles and complains if it is possible. For me, sometimes I enjoy acting against actual hope to my boyfriend. Put simply when I really want to meet him and want him to come over to me, I would say "I do not want to see you today" or just say "It is ok if you won't come, just enjoy your time" or something like that.
If men could read girls' mind, girls cannot enjoy a little game.

#10 Table Manners

Have you ever eaten in a foreign restaurant? Where? What did you eat?

I have been to restaurants just in US. But I do not really remember to go to actual American food restaurants. I think it is just several times. Since I did not have customs to go to foreign restaurants in Japan, it was very rare and good opportunity for me that there were a variety of foreign restaurants around my place. Therefore I frequented many restaurants. I went to Mexican which is I love and Chinese, Thai, Greek, Italian, Korean and of course Japanese restaurants. I think they are kind of mixing of American style. I have the most surprising story ever. When I went to one of Japanese restaurants, I could not eat Sushi with vinegared rice. I figured out it is not Sushi! I was so surprised

Now I remember going to American food restaurants. Some that I have been to are called Big boy and Bob Evans which are like a family restaurant. I guess those are American food restaurants.

I might have made some mistakes in foreign restaurants, but I'm still thinking that I have not.

#8 Weddings

1.Since Japanese weddings are expensive, do you think having a massive wedding like Korea or UAE is a good idea?
Yes. Whatever kind of weddings are ok, if they are happy. But I do not image that I have a massive wedding. If I will have it in the future, there will be many problems between my parents and me because they are so traditional. Now I think massive weddings are not so getting popular in Japan. The reason why is the Japanese character. We are tend to hide personal stuff.

2. What do you think about eloping? Having a wedding in a foreign location like Hawaii?
At young ages, it is good to have a wedding in a foreign country. I also want to do that, but I might think that a Japanese wedding is the best after getting older in the future though it is even too expensive. Some Japanese have too much long for foreign countries!

3.What is your ideal wedding?
Having all family members and friends, and all become happy. Now I do not care where I have a wedding. But all what I want to do is to wear both a white (or whichever color) wedding dress AND a white Kimono.

4.What would you definitely do, wear or go to on that big day? Why is that important?
I will say many appreciations to my family as much as I can since I usually do not say at all.

5. Have you ever been to a foreigner's wedding? What was your impression?
I wish I could attend to foreigner's weddings. I am sure to get much impression, and that will be good experience for me.

# 7 Superstitions

●Do you think it is important to talk about superstitions in cross culture communication class? 　　　　　 Why?

We can get knowledge about different culture from what they believe in as one of the members of countries. Therefore it is the good way to talk about superstitions in cross culture communication.

Is communication affected by superstitions?
I guess it is not really, but at least we have some superstitions to believe in although we are not conscious of them.

Do you believe in superstitions?
Yes, I do. I know that is not affect my real world, but I connect some superstitions to reality.
Especially, I sometimes care what blood type people have because of a girl? I do not know. ..

If yes, what superstitions do you believe?
Of course blood type.
I often see fortune-telling by blood types on magazine or newspaper. I believe in the results seriously at the time. Then I promise myself not to be against the telling. BUT just after a few minutes, I totally forget about them. Superstitions are just like that. We believe in the fundamental, but it is not close to real facts, and some of superstitions are in dream world.
